Outreach Ministries
Our mission is to reach out to the people of our community, nation, and other countries, so they will know the love of Jesus Christ. We offer many opportunities that you may join us in our efforts to change the world in the ways Jesus commands us
Local Outreach
Love in the Name of Christ
Love in the Name of Christ is a Christian-based organization that helps those in need of food, utilities, rent, and travel expenses for medical appointments. Trinity regularly gives money for budget needs and several Trinity memebers perform volunteer work there.
Thanksgiving Dinner
Every Thanksgiving Day from 11:00-1:00 Trinity hosts a fully cooked Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who comes to the church or who needs a dinner delivered for any reason; for example shortage of food, desire for companionship, or experienceing health problems. We usually serve and/or deliver over 400 meals each year.
Free Lunches
On the first Saturday (September through May) of the month, from 11:00-1:00, Trinity folks cook and serve a free soup/salad and desert lunch. It is open to EVERYONE at no cost.
Trinity Preschool

The Preschool, a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church and located at the church, was established in 1987. For more information please visit the (page).
Huntington County Free Health Clinic
The mission of the Huntington County Free Health Clinic is to provide acute and chronic health care for people who cannot afford to get health care because of lack of insurance and low income. For more information please visit (page).
Angel Tree Ministry
The people of Trinity participate in this ministry that coordinates the giving of gifts to the children of inmates at Christmastime, or throughout the year. From AngelTree.org: Right now, an estimated 1.5 million children have a mom or dad in prison. The number is huge – but so is the opportunity. Angel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. It seeks to transform the lives of these families and to reconcile them to their Heavenly Father and each other. In Matthew 18:5 Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” There are children right in your community who are among the most at-risk children in the nation. Angel Tree provides an opportunity to connect with those families and begin ministering to them at Christmas and then continue through a variety of year-round ministry opportunities.

Trinity Sewing Ministry
The Sewing Group meets the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Monday of every month from 9:00-4:00 (with time out for a fun lunch time!). They make clothing, diapers, and crib sheets for the children at Grace Children's Hospital in Haiti and school bags for UMCOR. Sewers (people who sew - not pipes that drain water), as well as non-sewers, are welcomed and never at a loss for something to do to further God's kingdom through his caring ministry.
